Senior Network Operations Engineer

This company is a Technology Management Service for commercial buildings based in San Francisco. The main division of the company has been operating for 20 years and is profitable. Hiring for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the team! This role will be hybrid/ on site in SF and is a full time position.


Must Haves:

• Strong Networking
  • Firewall integration experience, they use Palo Alto NGFW
  • Experience automating Networks using Python and Ansible.
  • Network troubleshooting experience.
• Python
• Ansible
• Strong Database Experience
  • SQL administration and management.
• Must have a certification.
  • CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CEH, CISSP, MCSE, etc.
• Previous customer facing experience.
  • Previous MSP experience is ideal, but could also be from working as an Apple Genius, or a Network Support Engineer supporting customers at Meraki, CISCO, or Palo Alto Networks.
• Strong communication skills
  • Including email, phone, and face to face.
  • Need to be engaging/personable, and be able to translate technical issues so that you can talk with non-technical people about the issues at hand.
  • Communicate problems to others on the team.

Projects:

• Big focus is automating switches, firewalls, and access points so they can scale up.
• Creating automation using Python & Ansible.
• Maintaining their Data Center in Fremont and multiple servers to manage all the Network equipment.
• Setup, configuration, and maintenance of backup systems.
• Updating Software and SQL Databases
• Writing technical documentation.
• API Integrations between our Solar Winds and Netsuite.
